It all starts with knowing your status.

A trained Health Care Provider can give you a test to see if you are HIV Positive.

  • An HIV test can be done on the spot.
  • The HCP will prick your finger.
  • The HCP will take a small drop of your blood.
  • The HCP can give you results within 10 minutes.
  • If you want, you may request a self- test kit for your partner.
The test is done in a private setting and the results will only be shared with you.

Know Your HIV Status

If you are HIV negative:

  • Keep using a condom
  • If you have a situation where you are unable to use a condom, you can use PrEP (Pre- exposure prophylaxis) which can prevent you from getting HIV.
  • Get tested every 3 months for HIV so you know your status.

If you are HIV positive:

  • Keep using a condom
  • Visit the clinic to get treatment
  • The sooner you start HIV treatment, the stronger your body and immune system will become.
